  2. Jackets Required…

We don’t usually require jackets – we’re a little more casual then that. But this weekend, we had to impress… So we put on our Sunday best and did just that. At Jacket Required; the second season of this London-based trade fair. It was a complete hoot, and we impressed the socks and jackets off everyone!

  3. WEEKEND FUN FOR EVERYONE…

One of the best things about the weekend, apart from lie-ins, brunch, movies and booze, is definitively the Life & Arts section of the Weekend Financial Times. The feel of the crispy salmon pages, the tid-bits of information, the spot on movie reviews, the intrepid travel section and of course, the glossy fashion pages… Well, this past weekend’s the publication was especially good. And why is that? Because Hentsch Man got a mention… We were asked to share our thoughts on men in colourful trousers. A subject we are well-versed in and happy to shed some light on. Have a look at what we said…

  4. ALL CHINESE TO ME…

We’re sure that this is pretty cool, but we can’t really tell… If you are well-versed in Mandarin, then please do not hesitate to tell us what is being said below…

  5. HENTSCH MAN DOES TOM AIKENS

We haven’t been able to say anything for ages… But the deed is done now, and the cat’s out of the bag. We’ve bagged Tom. Tom Aikens that is, and his whole crew of waiters. Some time ago, Hentsch Man was chosen to design all the staff uniforms at the new Tom Aikens restaurant at 43 Elystan Street. The enviably cool and delicious spot opened last week to great acclaim. And though Tom is the genius behind it all, we would like to share some of the credit in making the place look pretty damn smooth. See some of the boys below…

  6. A STRANGE INDUSTRY…

As you’ll know by now, having read previous blogs, Capsule went very well indeed for Hentsch Man. We wrote orders, gave interviews, drank wine, encountered funny cultures, sold our wares and met many strange people. The strangest one, though, deserves to be singled out. We won’t name names, but this funny little man is an all time big cheese in the fashion industry. What we didn’t know about him (prior to him lifting his shirt), is that he used to be a big cheese accountant too – and therefore, is well-versed in Microsoft Excel.

Now, for all those who work in fashion, you’ll know that it’s not all about fabric and patterns. It’s just as much about numbers and yes, EXCEL… Well, this funny little man knows it so well, that he tattooed a spreadsheet onto his rib cage…. Weird or what?

    Vive la funny fashion industry!

  7. SPRING IN A BOX

Spring is finally here! In the shape of a cardboard box. Or many cardboard boxes…. Ladies and gentleman, the Hentsch Man SS12 collection has finally arrived (a few delays courtesy of the massive snowfall in the Alps) – but it’s all arrived. We just have a little sorting out to do. See below…

  8. A CAPSULE COLLECTION…

So, after our Pitti affair, we jetted straight to Paris for our Capsule affair. What’s a Capsule affair? The place to be and the thing to do, that’s what… A lovely gem of a trade fair in the heart of the Marais, where every brand and buyer that’s worth anything makes an appearance. Including Hentsch Man… Mais bien sur!

  9. PITTI PLEASE

We’re just back from our third time showing at Pitti Uomo in Florence, where we exhibited our AW12 collection. And what a triumphant success it was. We signed new accounts, met new people, got good press, ate delicious pasta, saw a few beautiful churches. All in all, we had a whale of a time. The collection now goes on a ‘tour du monde’, with next up – Paris, then New York and then London… Busy busy busy… Have a look at our first stop, Pitti, below.

Thank you Draper’s Magazine (a highly influential magazine that only die-hard fashionistas know about) has named Hentsch Man a brand to watch… Thank you dear sirs!
